Studio Hours

with John Jinks

Just like a professor has office hours, we have Studio Hours.

Weekly feedback sessions where you bring your music and get expert guidance.

Studio Hours Drop-in
$25.00
Studio Hours Monthly Membership
$97.00 every month

Every Monday at 7pm CST, John opens his studio for 8-12 musicians.

Bring your work in progress - share your session and get instant feedback on mix, arrangement, composition or any question you may have.

Open mic style. Real feedback. Small group.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Before the session:
Book your spot and have your music ready to play. First come, first served. You’ll need the Muse App downloaded with Muse Plugin on your DAW’s master bus so we can hear your song directly from your DAW.

During your 10 minutes:
You’ll share your screen, show us your session, play your song and get instant feedback from John as well as feedback from the live chat from other participants. You can ask any question and have an open conversation about your work. You'll leave with a clear direction forward.

The rest of the session:
Stay and listen to other musicians share their work. You'll hear John's feedback on their mixes, arrangements, production choices, and creative decisions across different genres and styles. Chime in via chat with your own thoughts, questions, or encouragement. This is where you learn things you didn't even know to ask about.

After the session:
You have clarity. You know exactly what to do next. You’ll have a recording of the session to reference later if needed.

Week after week:
You build momentum. You finish more music. You stop second-guessing yourself. And you're part of a community of musicians who actually understand what you're going through.

Meet John

John has been writing, recording, and teaching music for over 30 years. His passion for music comes from his own desire to express himself where words fail. Music is his escape and his home.

Most days you'll find him either recording a local project or tirelessly creating something of his own. He's learned from decades of personal experience, plus studying alongside Amy during her time at Berklee Online - absorbing production knowledge that deepened his already extensive skill set.

He's a natural teacher with the highest student retention rate among his peers. His students love him and have studied with him for years - not just for basic guitar skills, but for guidance on songwriting, production, and creative momentum.

He knows how to listen, ask the right questions, and give you the clarity you need to move forward.
